adventure is out there

Sometimes, Mom, Henry and I drive down to Thousand Oaks to say goodbye. Sometimes, when we're there, I meet up with Mary Tarbet and we have fun. We went to a football game, had a mini photo shoot, went out to eat, giggled, fangirled, did my math homework, watched the presidential debate and made pumpkin bread.

Mary and I have been friends since she was born (I'm just a tad older than her). We spent every waking minute together playing at her house with the red slip. We would fight over that thing. Well, ten years ago, I moved away from Thousand Oaks and moved to Utah. I didn't see her for ages after that. But last year at EFY in Santa Barbara, Mary and I saw each other again. It was such a wonderful surprise. Then, this past summer, she came up here for two family reunions and I got to see her again. Then, just a couple of weeks ago, over Utah's fall break weekend, I saw her again. She's beautiful and she is always so happy. I love it. I miss her so much and I know that she and I will always be good friends.

She's also a super good photographer and is in AP Photography. She has a wonderful eye for light and is quite talented:
