once a favorite, always a favorite

1. Music: I have always been a fan of classical Romantic and Baroque music, but now, my life is consumed by Coldplay's new album "Mylo Xyloto". Amazing, pure beautifulness. How can you not love British singers? Here is my new favorite song:

2. Food. Maybe I should be more specific. When people ask me what my favorite food is, my answer is yes. I like all food. Except brussel sprouts, steamed spinach, baked carrots, raw broccoli, goat cheese, lentils, split pea soup, chicken hearts, giblets of any sort and nothing super foreign and yucky. But, other than that, I love food. My mom makes the greatest food every night (except on the nights when we have lentils or split pea soup). Desserts, now that is a whole 'nother can of worms. (that would be yucky too). Tonight for dinner, we had fish, brown rice and green salad. My favorite summer food is spinach/strawberry/roasted almond salad with a sweet raspberry vinaigrette. So delicious. My favorite winter food is tied between chili with corn bread and homemade doughnuts. Crumble up the cornbread in the chili with a dollop of sour cream... perfect. But, plop those doughy circles into hot oil and watching them brown, dipping them in homemade chocolate, maple, orange and regular glaze? Irreplaceable.

3. People. Yes, I have favorite people. Me, my cousins Ethan and Briant (otherwise known as the triplets) were all born in the same year. We love each other so much. When we three are together, everything is giggles and doing stupid stuff. We all spent two weeks on Statia with each other and went scuba diving every other day! Miss my boys. Here they are:
Climbing coconut trees is Briant's favorite
past-time in Hawaii.

Ethan and Heavy, the town drunk. Ethan's family is the
one I stayed with in the Caribbean.
4. Favorite things to do. Swimming is a no-brainer. Scuba diving as well. Sailing. Anything to do with water. I like writing. In case you didn't get that from this and this. I like taking pictures. I like school.
