mexico, guatemala, belize

Oh how I dearly want to visit Mexico. World-class Scuba diving, exotic foods (not really because I eat Mexican regularly), monkeys, flea markets, ruins, jungles... are there jungles in Mexico? I don't know. If there aren't, there should be. I have already been to Belize when I was about five. I remember every single detail about it: foods, our housekeeper, snorkeling, catching fish with Angie (my Guatemalan friend), seeing Howler monkey's, Henry swinging on vines, hiking up the tall ruins, our boat getting stuck in the mud, crocodiles lurking in the water.

Yesterday, my seminary teacher told me about his dad's humanitarian service in Central America, mostly in Guatemala, Belize and Mexico. Brother Pearce also told me about the trips his dad takes his family on, which I might attend, actually, I will attend:

Day One:
  • Fly into Guatemala. Get set up at their HOME IN GUATEMALA.
  • Eat yummy foods from a street vendor for dinner.
  • Go beaching!!!
  • Get sunburnt
  • Become completely exhuasted
  • Bed

Day Two:
  • Breakfast
  • Check out some sweet ruins
Ruins
  • Lunch
  • Hike through the jungle
  • Go four-wheeling through the jungle
  • Go beaching!!!
  • Get sunburnt
  • Dinner from a street vendor
  • Bed
Day Three:
  • Breakfast
  • Do some humanitarian work in Guatemala's rural countryside
  • Lunch
  • Build an orphanage (NBD)

  • Get sunburnt
  • Open-air markets
  • Dinner from a street vendor
  • Go beaching!!!
  • Snorkeling
  • Bed
Day Four:
  • Breakfast in Guatemala
  • Fly to Belize on one of those cute little planes that fits six people
  • Check in at Coconut's Hotel
  • Snorkeling
  • Lunch
  • Scuba dive the Blue Hole

Blue Hole

  • Boat ride through the jungle
  • See some wicked sweet ruins- hang from vines like monkeys
  • See Howler monkeys howl
  • Get sunburnt
  • Scuba dive other awesome places
  • Bed
Day Five:
  • Breakfast
  • Snorkeling
  • More humanitarian work
  • Sunburns...
  • Lunch: mangoes and Coca-Cola
  • Build orphanage
  • Dinner from a street vendor
  • Bed
Day Six:
  • Breakfast
  • Attend church in Belize
  • Eat lunch with the Mission President and missionaries
  • Go on a walk down the beach
  • No more sunburn!!! By this time, I am nicely browned.
  • Play board games
  • Dinner
  • Bed
Day Seven:
  • Check out of Coconut's Hotel
  • Breakfast
  • Hop on a eight passenger plane to Cancun
  • Arrive in Cancun
  • Get set up at their HOUSE IN CANCUN.
  • Scuba dive some fantastically deep spots.

  • Lunch
  • Scuba dive some more
  • Flea markets
  • Scuba dive more, more, MORE
  • Dinner
  • Night dive
  • Bed
Day Eight:
  • Breakfast
  • Scuba dive another fantastically deep spot
  • Lunch
  • Shopping, flea markets, vendors
Flea market
  • Ruins
  • Go into town for grocceries
  • Scuba dive
  • Exhausted, feet hurt, muscles sore from diving so much
  • Dinner
  • Bed
Day Nine:
  • Clean up HOUSE IN CANCUN
  • Breakfast
  • Hop a a plane home
  • Lunch on plane
  • Dinner in New York City
